My search for the best spanakopita in the world continues! When we think of top destinations for Greek food, a few places usually come to mind—Athens, Thessaloniki, Crete, London, New York, Chicago, Sydney, and Melbourne. But this time, I discovered a hidden gem in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. The Raleigh area has a growing Greek community (not quite as large as Charlotte’s, but definitely expanding), and with that comes an increasing number of Greek culinary options. So, what better way to celebrate my birthday than with a special dinner at Naos? • From the moment I walked in, I was mesmerized. Naos has a vibe that made me feel like I was dining inside the Acropolis Museum—in the best way possible • I started with the Spanakopita , which was packed with spinach and feta. The outer layer was unusually thin, but I ended up loving the contrast of the crispy exterior with the soft, flavorful filling. • Next up was the Chicken Souvla , served with tzatziki, warm pita, and lemony roasted potatoes—absolutely delicious. • For dessert, they spoiled me with two Greek classics: Portokalopita (a rich orange sponge and phyllo cake) and Baklava Sarigli (a spiral-shaped baklava with pistachios). Everything was incredible—from the food to the stunning decor. I already can’t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful experience at Naos. It is a beautiful atmosphere to eat in. Our server was super friendly and good at her job. We loved all the food we tried but especially the octopus and spanakopita. Every item was flavorful and well prepared. Also get the affogato for dessert. So good.

The food is so fresh and tastes good! I think the menu has a little something for everyone as well. Our waiter, Mira, walked us through the menu from top to bottom and also gave us some great recommendations. Everything she recommended was 10/10! She checked on our table regularly and was so so sweet! I say try as much as you can on the menu but the salt baked whole fish, orzo and woodfire octopus were my favorites! The dessert recommendation was also great. The flavors in the orange phyllo cake are immaculate!

We celebrated our family graduations at Naos Hellenic Cuisine in Cary, NC, and it was absolutely perfect. The upscale Greek decor with elegant white and blue accents created a sophisticated yet warm Mediterranean atmosphere. The food was delicious. Our group shared the whole branzino (perfectly grilled), tender lamb chops, aromatic clay pot lamb, and fresh snapper - all expertly prepared. For dessert, we enjoyed the affogato espresso, light orange phyllo cake, and classic baklava. Every dish was delicious. Our waiter Nick was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything needed while giving us space to enjoy our celebration. This was the ideal venue for our special family milestone. Highly recommend for celebrations or any time you want exceptional Greek cuisine in a beautiful setting.

The food was absolutely incredible! We are definitely going back. I had the seafood bouillabaisse and my date had the lamb. For an appetizer we had the spanakopita. We had fantastic service and the atmosphere is gorgeous as well!! We both said it was our new favorite restaurant.

I seldom reflect 5 stars in my review, but Naos deserves such a rating. From a beautifully themed renovation of the former tenant Ko-An Asian fusion, to attentive service , and creative tasty takes on Greek dishes, the only element is our experience that wasn't perfect was the higher than expected pricing of some of the offerings. Our table of four ate family style with a variety of appetizers, sides, and salads (all describe well by our table attendant, Mira) with the main dish being the Salt Baked fish, which was excellent though expensive (120 but enough to feed 3-4). I'd call out the Spanikopita (lavosh instead of phyllo dough), the beet salad (good use of olive oil and Manouri cheese) and the affogato (non-dairy lemon gelato) as creative takes on common plates. Definitely a place to which we'll return to enjoy a dining experience!

What an amazing addition to the triangle dining scene. Naos is a beautiful restaurant with the food and service to match. I would give the service 10 stars if I could. Simeon was the best server ever. He really worked to make us feel special and helped recommend food and alcohol suggestions. He is just wonderful. The food is nothing short of amazing and the craft cocktails and wines are incredible. So glad to have Naos in the triangle and can't wait to get back.

Naos is a lovely Greek restaurant that offers a solid dining experience with plenty of highlights. The atmosphere is elegant and inviting, creating a pleasant backdrop for the meal. The service was excellent—attentive and professional without being overbearing. The food was enjoyable overall. The lamb pot was well-cooked and flavorful, and the fish dishes were fresh and tasty. The appetizers stood out as the best part of the meal, with a variety of flavors and textures that were a delight to try. For dessert, the orange phyllo cake with ice cream was a standout—delicious and definitely worth ordering. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be adding a few more items to the menu. While the dishes we tried were very good, a bit more variety would make the experience even better. Overall, Naos is a great choice for Greek cuisine. The combination of good food, excellent service, and a nice atmosphere makes it a restaurant I’d recommend and revisit.
